With the help of both Danba Education Bureau and local school teachers, we’ve shared new optimized courses with 274 students from 6 classes, in grade one of high school. This included teaching a Natural Science course — “The Mystery of Seed”, an environmental education course — “Rubbish Around Us”, and a local culture course — “Exploration of Jiarong Watching Tower”.
Starting from the problems of plants, architecture and environment around students, we hope to stimulate students’ curiosity and enthusiasm for exploration through curriculum design and help them have a broader understanding of the environment and natural world around us.
We hope that by demonstrating this information, the students have a deeper understanding and learn to love their hometown, and make them become the guardians of their own land. To achieve it, our Yunhe Center will bring more and more interesting ecological education courses into the classrooms of primary and secondary schools in Danba County with the support of experts in different fields.
